eHealth has safeguards in place to ensure personal health information is accessed safely, securely, and only on a need-to-know basis.
One of these safeguards is the ability to audit access to personal health information. An audit allows you to see who has accessed your information in certain electronic health systems.
Audit reports
Upon request, audit reports show when and by whom personal health information has been viewed in the following systems:
- PIP (Pharmaceutical Information Program) - Stores medication information for Saskatchewan residents.
- PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) - Stores diagnostic images and imaging reports.
- eHR Viewer (electronic Health Record Viewer) - Stores patient health information from across Saskatchewan.
Requesting an audit report
To request an audit report, complete and submit the Request for audit form to Privacy and Access.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your audit report, please reach out to eHealth Privacy Service.
