Text messages and phone calls claiming to be from eHealth Saskatchewan asking you to take immediate action to keep access to health care services are scams. There is no charge to receive a health card or update your information. Read more about health card renewals.

Health cards

If you live in Saskatchewan, you need an active Saskatchewan health card for yourself and your dependents to receive provincial health benefits.

You may be asked to show your health card when you receive health services. If you don’t have valid health coverage, you may be responsible for the cost of your services.

2026 is a health card renewal year. Watch for your health card renewal stickers in the mail this fall. They’ll be mailed to all Saskatchewan households starting in September 2026. The stickers let health care providers know you’re eligible for health coverage until Dec. 31, 2029.
