This privacy statement explains how information is handled on eHealth’s primary website ehealthsask.ca only. It does not apply to any other Crown corporations or government entities, or to any of the clinical apps we build or support, such as MySaskHealthRecord.

Our website includes links to and from other websites. eHealth does not guarantee the security or privacy of any external website, even if it has been linked to or from our website, and we encourage you to read and understand the applicable privacy policy on linked websites.

Keeping your information secure

Through your use of our website, eHealth may collect cookies, analytics and IP-related information (see Cookies and Analytics section below), as well as personal information (e.g. email address) voluntarily submitted through website forms.

The website has links to two types of forms:

  • General forms (website feedback and MySaskHealthRecord support) which do not ask for any sensitive personal or personal health information.
  • Specific forms (typically PDFs) that are intended to be completed and sent to a specific email address (e.g. the Request for Access to PHI form that is emailed to privacyandaccess@ehealthsask.ca).

General website forms are intended for general inquiries and feedback only; not for submission of personal health information. Specific website forms, however, are used to request a specific service and may require that certain personal health information (such as a health services number) be provided on the form. To protect your privacy, please do not include personal information or personal health information that is not requested on the forms, and ensure that completed forms are sent to the email address identified on the form.

While we take steps to protect information on our website, no method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure. All information we collect through the website is maintained in a protected environment and we use procedures and security features to keep your information safe. In addition, all the information you voluntarily provide through website forms will be used only for the purpose for which it was collected and will not be shared with any other organizations for marketing, market research, or commercial purposes.

eHealth does not intend to collect personal health information through the ehealthsask.ca website. Accordingly, this privacy statement does not apply to your personal health information collected by eHealth through other applications. Personal health information collected by eHealth is protected by applicable Saskatchewan legislation, including The Health Information Protection Act (HIPA) and, where applicable, The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP). More information on these acts and eHealth’s commitment to privacy and security of your personal health information can be found on our privacy and access page.
