Request health data 

To request health data for research purposes, complete the request for information form.  

Depending on your project, you may also need:  

  • ethics approval 
  • data sharing agreements 
  • research agreements  

Approved research ethics boards under HIPA include: 

  • University of Regina Research Ethics Board 
  • University of Saskatchewan Research Ethics Office 
  • Saskatchewan Health Authority Research Ethics Board 

Health Research Data Platform – Saskatchewan

The Health Research Data Platform – Saskatchewan (HRDP-SK) provides researchers with secure access to linked health data from multiple Saskatchewan stakeholders. The platform provides timely and secure access to health system data for approved research projects. HRDP-SK is managed by the Saskatchewan Centre for Patient-Oriented Research (SCPOR). The HRDP-SK team supports researchers by:  

  • guiding applicants through the process  
  • coordinating requests across multiple organizations 
  • providing online training resources
