Log in to PIP-IDM

PIP-IDM is the identity management website used to create, manage and maintain user accounts and permissions.   

All PIP users must read and follow the PIP Joint service and access policy (PDF). 

There are three types of PIP users: 

• facility approvers
• facility users 
• independent providers

Facility approvers 

A facility approver is a licensed provider chosen by a facility to manage staff registration and user permissions in PIP-IDM.  

Approvers must be set up before any other users at a facility. Once the approver is set up, they can approve PIP account requests from other users at that facility.  

Register as a facility approver

1. Review the Joint service and access policy (PDF). 
2. Complete Joint services and access policy confirmation document (PDF) and submit it to the eHealth Service Desk.
   1. Make sure that your user organization or operating legal name matches the legal name registered with Information Services Corporation (ISC) or with a regulatory college.
3. Complete any required training by watching the videos.
4. Submit the online training declaration form  
5. Register for a PIP approver account.

Employees of the Saskatchewan Health Authority, the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, the Ministry of Health or eHealth must provide their organizational domain user ID. 

If you don’t know your user ID, contact the Service Desk at 1-888-316-7446. 

Your login credentials will be emailed to you once your account has been confirmed. 

A licensed approver can choose an unlicensed delegate to act on their behalf. For unlicensed delegate access, clinics must submit both:  

• the PIP delegate authorization form (PDF)  
• a Joint service and access policy confirmation document for the delegate (PDF). 

A replacement approver must be linked to the location before the current approver leaves. Every facility needs at least one approver. 

Approvers must also tell the Service Desk if their facility is closing, unless it’s a pharmacy closure.

Facility users 

A facility user works at a recognized facility like a clinic, pharmacy or hospital. The PIP account is approved and managed by the facility approver.  

Register as a facility user 

1. Contact your facility's approver.
2. Review the Joint service and access policy (PDF)
3. Complete the Joint service and access policy confirmation document (PDF) and submit it to your approver, if your facility requires it.  
   1. Licensed non-pharmacists requesting prescribing or dispensing privileges must submit the joint services and access policy confirmation document to the eHealth Service Desk.
4. Complete the training for basic users or prescribers. Submit the online training declaration form.
5. Register for a PIP user account. When registering, select the correct facility so your account is linked properly. 

Your login credentials will be emailed to you once your account has been confirmed.

Independent providers 

An independent provider is a medical doctor, optometrist, dentist or nurse practitioner who is not part of a facility and does not have staff who need access.  

Independent providers can register under: 

• their corporation name registered with Information Services Corporation 
• their exact legal name as recorded with their professional regulatory college  

Independent providers can’t become approvers. 

Register as an independent provider 

1. Review the Joint service and access policy (PDF).  
2. Complete the Joint service and access requirements policy confirmation document (PDF) and submit it to the Service Desk.  
3. Make sure your user organization or operating legal name matches your corporation name as registered with ISC or the legal name registered with your professional regulatory college.
4. Complete the training for basic users or prescribers. Submit the online training declaration form.
5. Register for a PIP user account. 

Your login credentials will be emailed to you once your account has been confirmed.

If you are no longer practicing at your independent practice location or if the location closes, notify the Service Desk.
